Its funny some songs improve 100% if they have a really memorable video accompanying it. There are loads that fall into the category to me. Off the top of my head Art of Noise with ‘Close to the Edit’, White Stripes – ‘Hardest Button to Button’ are two. But the latest one to me is ‘Nude’ by Radiohead from ‘In Rainbows’, which is maturing finer with each listen than erm a fine wine. I still can’t get the opening dubby bit out of my head today and it’s all down to seeing this video below:
It’s fantastic and simple as the most memorable visual videos should be. Shot at 100 frames a second and slowed right down, it fits the soundtrack so well. Anyway more tidbits on the video and some other Radiohead visual treats on Adam Buxtons blog.
It looks like Radiohead are playing a free gig in London tonight at the Rough Trade East Store. I would love to go but its going to packt like sardines in a crushd tin box.
